AI Tools

Right now, AI is SO cool. I'm spending much of my days listening, and studying different AI tools. Here are some that I've gained familiarity with.

Chatbots -

ChatGPT (OpenAI.com) - The granddaddy AI chatbot, it's excellent. Some might argue that it's the most thorough. There is a free version that is great, and a paid for version that is even greater. You can also use it to draw things out for you. The paid for version is actually the same version that is powering Bing Co-Pilot.

Pi - A bit quicker than ChatGPT. I like this one because it works great on your phone, and has an audio mode where it can respond back to you so that you can listen to the AI side of the conversation, rather than just read it. I like to have conversations with it about all kinds of things, and listen to its audio responses as I drive down the road. My only complaint is that it can be a bit too politically correct.

Meta-AI - Meta (Facebook) has done great with the AI game. If you use WhatsApp or Facebook, look for the little circle icon. It'll also have great chats with you, and draw things (type imagine: first).

Imaging -

I primarily use Bing AI Image creation. If you type in Bing AI Image creation, it'll get you going. I love using it to exercise my brain as I imagine things out with the AI. It's also just loads of fun. https://www.bing.com/images/create

Meta - Again, within the chat field inside of WhatsApp or Facebook, look for the circle. It's an incredible AI in its own right and is quite a bit faster than ChatGPT. If you want to create an image simply time "Imagine" then whatever you'd like. Example: Imagine a cat with reflective chrome armor. It'll generate images as you're typing, so it's easy to play around with.

AI Audio / Song creation -
There are two AI song generation apps that are great. One is Suno, the other is Udio. Just head to their websites, play around with them, and have a great time.

Web Design -

This site was created with Webador and it's been very good to me. I do have a degree in Computer Science and I can play around with coding, etc. but I really don't want to, haha! So Webador has allowed me to easily create, modify, and publish a website very quickly. It was simple and free to start out, then when I felt like I was ready to have my own domain (www.excaliburcomputersolutions.com) I paid a slight fee of $1 each month initially, then it'll be $12/mo afterwards. I highly recommend this to anyone who'd like a nice web presence. It even has AI generative pages that can help get you started so you're not getting writer's block when you're trying to decide what to say :)

For now, everything I've mentioned in this post, unless I explicitely said otherwise, is free. Enjoy!
